4 – Steak Cult Leader? Maybe. Happy and Healing? Definitely.

People always ask, “But what do you even eat?” As if carnivore means I’m chewing raw T-bones in a cave somewhere. (I wish. Sounds peaceful.)

So let’s clear that up.

Here’s what a regular day of eating looks like for me:

Morning: Eggs and More Eggs

I start my day with a cup of hot water. I used to skip breakfast, but now I often enjoy leftover steak straight from the pan before i leave for work, no shame, and 2 to 4 hard-boiled eggs at work before the business kicks in.

Mid-Morning: Bone Broth = Brain Broth

Around 10 or 11, I sip on homemade bone broth. It’s soothing, nourishing, and weirdly comforting. Like a warm hug from a cow. (Too much?)

Lunch: Chicken Skins, Goat Cheese, or Salmon

This is the part where my co-workers usually start looking nauseous. Especially when I eat crispy chicken skins for breakfast too. But honestly? If they knew how good it was, they might just drop their hummus wraps.

I love good goat cheese and salmon in any form, smoked, raw, pan-fried, you name it.

It’s simple. It’s satisfying. It keeps me full for hours.

Snack (If I Need It): Cheese, Eggs, Cold Cuts

I’m not a big snacker anymore. But if I do need something, it’s usually a hard-boiled egg, a few slices of cheese, or some leftover roast beef or prosciutto.

Dinner: Steak. Always Steak.

My favorite cut? Ribeye, preferably from the red/white brand.

Trust me, I’ve tried every cut out there, but ribeye is the one you can wake me up for. Cooked in real butter, finished with flaky salt. Nothing fancy. Just perfect.

What About My Family?

Let me be clear: I’m the only one in my household on this diet. My husband and kids still eat pancakes, Nutella, pasta, fruit, and whatever else they love, and I fully support it.

This lifestyle works for me. That’s it.

I’d never force it on them. I’m not running a steak cult (although, if Netflix is interested, I have storyboards ready).

We’re all different. Different needs. Different bodies. Different journeys. I’m just choosing what makes mine thrive. If they ever want to join? Great. If not? Also great.

The Bottom Line

The carnivore diet isn’t restrictive. It’s freeing. It’s nourishing. It’s healing.

And yeah… I still dream about steak. Every. Single. Day.

P.S. Just a friendly note: this blog isn’t anti-plant, anti-vegan, or anti-anything. It’s simply *my* story, one rooted in health, healing, and a whole lot of ribeye. So if you’re reading this with a raised eyebrow and a kale smoothie in hand… relax. I support you, too.
